STEM Concentration

Welcome to the STEM program at Holy Cross Preparatory Academy, where we empower students through the Project Lead the Way Engineering (PLTW) curriculum, which is recognized by College Board. Our courses are designed to equip students for success in diverse careers within Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. With a STEM-infused curriculum that incorporates current engineering and design processes, students will also engage in honors-level Advanced Placement Math and Science courses. Additionally, they will have opportunities to participate in Technology Student Association (TSA) conferences, competitions, and other interscholastic events, enhancing their learning experience and skills.

In addition to the academic classes we offer, Holy Cross Prep is pleased to launch our Competitive Robotics  Team! Under the mentorship of STEM Coordinator, Mr. Zackary Coons, our students are participating in the First Tech Challenge, competing against schools across the state of New Jersey with opportunities to advance to regional and national competitions.

In serving as the premier Catholic institute for education and leadership in South Jersey and beyond, we are honored to open our team to students in grades 7 and 8. Students from local Catholic middle schools are competing side-by-side with our high school students!

Holy Cross Prep Academy is pleased to offer a robust Merit-Based Scholarship Program to reward the best and brightest eighth-grade students in the region who are ready to take their passion for robotics to the next level. One of nine awards within our Merit-Based Scholarship Program is our Excellence in STEM Award! Students enroll on scholarship and are presented the opportunity to maintain their scholarship annually.

Explore limitless courses within Science and Mathematics in our course catalog. Holy Cross Preparatory Academy requires a minimum of 15 credits within Science and a minimum of 20 credits within Mathematics to graduate. Advanced Placement and Honors courses are also available, which provide students with a rigorous academic course of study. Students may earn college credits either by earning the appropriate AP exam score or, when available, through concurrent enrollment for college credit through Seton Hall University, the College Acceleration Program (CAP) through Rowan College at Burlington County, and/or our partnership with Holy Family University.
