Not on the list? You may still get help.

If your district doesn’t run a bus to Holy Cross, New Jersey provides aid in lieu of transportation. This is a payment from your district to help cover the cost of getting your child to school.

Who qualifies: high school students who live more than 2½ miles from Holy Cross and within 20 miles of it. Students who live farther than 20 miles may still get a seat on an existing bus if one is available.

AID IN LIEU OF TRANSPORTATION

$1,177

for the 2026-27 school year

How to apply

1

Pick up the form

Ask the Holy Cross main office for the state transportation application (Form B6T).

2

We send it to your district

Holy Cross forwards your application to your home school district.

3

Your district lets you know

By August 1, your district will tell you whether it will provide busing or aid in lieu of transportation.

Apply by March 15 before the school year starts. Late applications are accepted, but aid may be reduced.

Transportation rules are set by the State of New Jersey. Learn more from the NJ Department of Education →
