Karen Coyle Myers '84 & John Myers (Annie '13, Jane '16, Eve '22)
Our family lives in Medford Lakes and the girls attended St. Mary of the Lakes School in Medford. The experience at Holy Cross gives them the opportunity to be involved in many sports and activities with the small school atmosphere. Annie played soccer and ran track for 4 years, each. Jane played 4 years of basketball and lacrosse, and she was Vice-President of her class. Eve currently plays basketball and lacrosse. Annie and Jane both graduated from Penn State University and Eve hopes to attend in 2022. The decision to send our daughters to Holy Cross is one of the best decisions we made as parents!

Holy Cross Preparatory Academy has a very welcoming, family atmosphere. Strong academics, collegiate scheduling, and teachers that genuinely care about their students make it a wonderful high school experience. With sports, clubs, activities, and community service, there are plenty of opportunities for students to get involved on campus. My daughter just completed her Freshman year and is receiving an excellent education in all her honors classes. She is a member of the cheerleading team and dance team. She also had her first acting experience in the Fall play, and is a member of Student Council, Campus Ministry, Special Olympics, Yearbook Club, and Mission Club. With an emphasis on spiritual, academic, and social development, HCPA prepares its students to become tomorrow's leaders.
Judy & Cliff Stokes (Gabrielle '19, Sam '21, Julia '23)
We are the Stokes Family and live in Moorestown. We believe in Catholic Education and have had a great experience at Holy Cross. All three of the kids attended St. Charles Borroemo School in Cinnaminson, where we are parishioners. Gabrielle '19 is in the nursing program at TCNJ. She is a competitive dancer and danced all four years on the Holy Cross Dance Team which performs during halftime at home basketball games. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and was involved in the Special Olympics Club and The Rock - a spirituality club founded by one of our Religion teachers. She was also involved in all of the Homecoming Activities as well as spirit week - her favorite week of the school year. Sam '21 has taken mostly Honors and AP Classes. He has been a Varsity Wrestler since his freshman year, and is also a pitcher on our Baseball team. Sam also played JV Football as a freshman. His only prior experience was flag football. Because of the size of our school, he had the opportunity to try a new sport; an opportunity he might not have had if he were at a larger school. Sam is a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the Special Olympics Club and loves working hands on with the kids. Julia '23 has made a smooth transition both academically and socially at Holy Cross. She was hooked during her shadow day, and was not disappointed when the front doors of the school were lined with upper class students welcoming her on her first day of school. Although she was nervous, any nerves disappeared as soon as she walked in the door. Julia is Cheerleader for Football and Basketball and loves her coach and teammates. One of the many benefits was her practices beginning in June - even before she started school. That gave her a chance to meet other girls and get a feel for the school grounds - we feel this helped her as well. Julia had a blast on the Ski Trip (with no prior ski experience) and is also a member of the Special Olympics Club.
Lisa DiVece Taylor '85 & Marty Taylor '85 (Zac '18, Ava '21)
Our kids graduated from St. Mary of the Lakes in Medford and then went on to Holy Cross Prep Academy. Holy Cross has been part of our family for many years. Between aunts, uncles, and cousins, we’ve experienced a lot. Zac played baseball and basketball. He will be a junior at Binghamton University, where he plays baseball. Ava plays field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. Both kids have been involved in the Special Olympics Club, participated in Homecoming Activities, and were Student Ambassadors. The collegiate schedule (4 classes per semester) gave them the opportunity to be involved in not just sports but clubs as well. Clubs meet during the flex period, then after school, they would have their sports practices. Holy Cross is a really special place and a great way to experience it is to have your child shadow a student for the day!

As parents of SIX Lancers, we can honestly say that our Holy Cross experience has not been a “one size fits all” education. Each of our children had different interests and talents. They were each given the opportunity and guidance to grow and develop the confidence they need to succeed in college and life. They had the opportunity to participate in academics, the arts, and athletics all grounded in our Catholic faith. The Holy Cross community has been and will always be family for us.
